Blade Runner 2049 — screen graphics

Territory Studio's screen graphics reel for Blade Runner 2049 documents the studio's contribution to one of the most design-conscious science fiction films of the decade. Working directly with director Denis Villeneuve and supervising art director Paul Inglis from early production, the team delivered over 100 assets across 15 sets, balancing on-set playback requirements with the film's rigorous visual world-building.

What makes this instructive is the design constraint: every interface had to feel native to a specific narrative and social context within the film's world, rather than generically futuristic. The screens don't display information to the audience, they reveal character and environment. That distinction between FUI as spectacle and FUI as storytelling is the central lesson the reel makes visible.
