Designed by Imaginary Forces with Ash Thorp as designer and Miguel Lee as art director, the Person of Interest title sequence builds its visual language directly from the show's premise: a machine that watches everything. Surveillance footage is layered with data overlays, facial recognition markers, and classification systems. The motion enacts the logic of algorithmic seeing rather than decorating it.
Every typographic and compositional decision reads as output from a system rather than as authored design. The sequence established a visual grammar for data-driven surveillance aesthetics in broadcast television that was widely referenced in subsequent work.
