Founded in Paris in 2011 by title designer Kook Ewo, Motion Plus Design began as a small gathering with the aim of giving motion design the same cultural recognition as cinema or graphic design. It has since expanded to yearly editions in Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles and over fifteen cities worldwide.
The platform's talks, published freely online, constitute a substantial public archive of practice-based discourse. Speakers include many of the field's most significant practitioners discussing work, process, and methodology. For an educational archive, it is one of the most direct access points to how practitioners think about their own discipline.
The full-length conference talks, freely available on their Vimeo channel, are particularly valuable for understanding how leading practitioners think about title design and motion as a discipline.
