Riders Republic — The Finish Line

Ernest Desumbila's launch trailer for Ubisoft's Riders Republic composites real athletes, shot at multiple speeds including phantom camera, into CGI environments built with 3D scan data and Unreal Engine. The seam between live action and digital space is deliberately invisible.

What makes the piece instructive is the transition logic. Rather than cutting between environments, the edit uses physical momentum as a structural device. The sport's kinetic energy carries across spatial jumps that would otherwise break continuity. Rhythm and motion, not geography, hold the sequence together.
