Designed by Marco Fumasoli as creative director with motion design by Frame Eleven, the 1993 SF DRS idents introduced a new identity for Swiss public television built around a single flexible system. The rectangular logo with its interchangeable color fields generated a series of idents that are formally distinct yet immediately recognisable as a family. White and red remain constant; the third color varies, producing range within constraint.
The idents are a Swiss-produced example of the motion identity logic that defined European public broadcasting in the early 1990s: a geometric mark, animated with restraint, generating variety through iteration rather than through visual complexity. For Swiss design students, the piece is locally grounded and historically immediate.
